I remember Dr. Naram saying to stay away for fermented drinks. I make Kombucha and wanted to know if he was saying to stay away from them in conjuction with another type of recipe or treatment or if he was saying in general.
I found this quote from Dr. Naram: “Fermented food, such as vinegar, soy sauce, tamari, yogurt, alcohol, hard cheeses and yeast-containing foods such as marmite, yeasted breads and beer must be avoided. All fermented foods are sour in nature and therefore have Pitta-increasing qualities. Whenever there is too much Pitta and heat in the intestines, fermentation is multiplied, thus resulting in gas and decreased digestive capacity. Fermented foods are also tamasic in nature and therefore contribute to dullness of mind and lethargy.“
:good: Awesome info, Carol! Thank you so much for posting this. Out of curiosity, where did you find that quote from Dr. Naram? In a book or specific web page? Thanks again!
